Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) today lifted the lid on details of its new four-cylinder engine family dubbed Ingenium. This is a high-tech engine family to replace the Ford-derived legacy engines left over from the Blue Oval's ownership of JLR. Key headlines include the promise of 'sub-100g/km CO2 emissions' in the new 2015 Jaguar XE, the first model to premiere the new British-built motors.
The £92,000 Climax Sports Racer
British firm Climax has revealed it’s readying a road-going race-car to rival others in the niche like the Ariel Atom and the Caparo T1. Imaginatively named The Climax Sport Racer the new car gets powered by a Ford 4.6 V8 developing 345bhp with a supercharged version offering 415bhp. All that grunt is driven through the rear wheels by a 6-speed Graziano GT ME1 gearbox.
The Lexus LF-A has gone on sale in the Lexus dealership in Park Lane
You may be surprised to learn that the Lexus LF-A is actually for sale if you were one of the first to read our report last week that you could only lease the LF-A. But if you came later to the story you’ll know that the lease-only deal applies just to the US. Lexus were very quick to contact us after we published the report (all of ten minutes) to say that it was just potential LF-A buyers in the US who would be constrained to a lease-only deal and that the LF-A was up for grabs in the normal way everywhere else in the world.
